Hey folks,

I recently purchased a Chandler GAV 19. This is a very unique amp head. However, I'm faced with a couple of practical problems with this head: (admittedly I should have thought through these before I bought the amp):
- Volume in basement: I'm running this head through an Avatar 2x12 with Celestion V30s. I picked up an attenuator, but even the attenuator has to be run so low that it is basically killing all the tone (not a fault of the attenuator). What's the best solution for this? I'm wondering how the guys who do the youtube demos seem to be running through a 2x12 at high gain.. what's the trick? For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKHplPxIYso

Should I just use maybe a 1x12, in conjunction with an attenuator? Lower wattage speakers - does that even make a big difference?

- Lack of an effects loop.
I really want to use the amp overdrive/distortion, but that presents a problem with things like delays, reverb and modulation. I tried my Strymon pedals (delay, reverb) in front, and boy it sounded like crap. Any thoughts on potential solutions? I thought about using a Two Notes Torpedo Live for loading, taking the line output->pedals->power amp->cab, but then I lose some of the best power amp distortion from the Chandler.. (and making the rig complicated).

Appreciate any feedback..
Thanks!

Man, i love these Chandler heads.. Try using the Badcat unleash for the fx loop problem or chat with the dude at Magis Ultimate Attenuators! I use mine with a Rivera Iso cab too.
