I always dug these ones back when Moore was playing them:

And this one is cool although I don't know what Gary was thinking when he posed for this pic:

Cool Bill, two of my faves as well. You know both of those Charvels were not built completely in San Dimas, Keith Page Gary's guitar tech at the time assembled them both from existing Charvel's Gary already had. I will tell the story soon as I am writing some moore Gary Moore guitar marque histories for the Lord of the Strings Gary Moore fansite, I already wrote their Hamer and Heritage ones, next up Charvels, Fenders and Gibbos!

Mines a new So Cal, but this guitar has seriously changed how I approach playing, and made me a better player for it.

In the 80's, I was into Kramer and Ibanez guitars. They were available in northern MN (Ibanez was harder). There was only one dealer for Jackson/Charvel, and he tended to keep the higher end models in stock. I had a couple friends with the MIJ Charvels, and they were good guitars (the model 6 my friend had was outstanding). I REALLY wanted a Predator at one point, but dropped out of playing metal before I ever got one.

I'll pick up another one of these before too long.

Nice guitar!!! I have one of these!! Replaced the pickups and added a brass big block.

The neck on my Promod split horribly after a nasty fall. :(

I'm currently waiting until after the holidays to spring for a new one from Musikraft. I'm going with a rosewood fretboard this time around, and dat reverse headstock. :inlove:

I really wish I would have picked up one of the Pro Mod Wild Card #6's last year.

Ok, you guys really suck.

Like I said, I wish I would have picked up one of the Wild Card #6's last year. And wouldn't you know it, there was one on ebay. It's got a duncan in the bridge but it isn't a cream/black zebra like the others I've seen, so I'm guessing it's not original. Good price, though.

Incoming NGD, I guess. I wish I had more impulse control sometimes.

i bought my Model 2 in 1987.springtime came and i started cutting grass and taking my earnings and putting it down on my laid away model 2.June comes,i graduate high school, and use my monetary gifts to pay it off.before that i had a Hondo 2 LP copy.so my first "real " guitar was the charvel model 2.still have it,but its in ruff shape.maybe ill get a new neck and bridge for it in the upcoming year.

I have a model 2 and a model 6, both are great guitars. I am thinking about getting a more recent one as gigging constantly with whammy bar equipped 25+ yr old guitars is starting to concern me. I am not a heavy whammy bar user but I use it quite a bit. I wonder how long the wood around the posts will hold up before it starts to fatigue and oval out. I hope it never will but it seems like there is a fair amount of pressure on the posts. I had a 1986 Kramer Pacer that the posts for the floyd loosened up and it required a lot of work to fix.

Probably the most comfortable and fastest guitar I have played. When I pick it up a I can't put it down. You guys have probably seen this before   I like to show her off ;)

Hi, new guy first time post...I'll still post a proper introduction, but saw this thread and thought I'd jump right in if that's OK! Huge Charvel fan, I've been obsessed with them since I was a kid, here's a few pics of mine (mix of vintage, modern, and mutts):
