Luxxtone doesn't offer the wheel. I wish mine had it like my Friedman and Charvel for sure

The truss rod adjustment is at the headstock on the luxxtones.

That is only on recent el machetes. The neck has to come off of mine.

Those colors are insane! Did you spec them or did they?

I went Vanilla. :D

Very nice.

The green one was already built when I bought it. It's even cooler in person. The lavender one I spec'd from a guitar that is owned by a member here - DistorED

I’ve yet to play another guitar that sounds or plays better than this 2016 Charvel nitro aged. I ordered it with very light aging (the fretboard was not aged at all. The gunk on it is all from playing). This guitar is a freak... it’s very compressed sounding, but not choked or sterile. I consider the music zoo nitro aged to be the top of the line. Note that the color is artic white, but is yellowing a little with time.

I’d love to own one, but every time they pop up they do t last long or I don’t have the cash

I've owned two Charvel custom shop guitars. They were nice, but I'd choose a Chubtone every time over a Charvel.

What pickups in that Dave ? Your usual Suhr Aldrichs ? Or DiMarzios ?

I've become a pretty big friedman fan. My custom vintage t might be my favorite guitar...

Having played the Luxxtone stuff quite a bit, the Friedmans and the Iconic's, you can't go wrong with any of those. The Luxxtone's are probably my favorite "rock relic's" overall but seriously, it's like asking which supermodel that also listens, AND can cook would you want to marry.

Have yet to try a Chubtone but they look cool.

Chubtones crap all over overpriced charvels..

If that were the case, I’d own all Chubtone’s and have a fat wallet. Nothing against Curt or anyone who owns one.

Have you tried one Dave ? You might be surprised if you haven't...

I have not, I’m sure they are good though. I’m just happy with the Charvels I own. One of which I got from Curt

I had three friends own them. Two loved them, one of them didn’t.

I looked up Luxxtone...they are more expensive than a custom shop charvel. (Atleast on reverb) Chubtone looks interesting though. They are about the same price you can find a mint charvel USA select for. But then of course you can customize the chubtone where you only have color choices or t vs s style bodies on the USA selects.

Neck shape on the chubtone seems to match the USA select specs too. (Custom shops necks are different...mine is thinner) charvel also have compound radius 12 to 16 whereas chubtone is a straight 12” radius.

OP what did you end up doing?
