charvel neck vibe w/ easy heel joint of ibanez

charvel strat neck feel
strat headstock look, or close to strat shape
Ibanez type, non existent heel
24 frets, easy access

I have a feeling I'd have to get measurements and have it custom made (not using any pre existing templates)

I feel the closest would be a custom esp, using one of their templates

Suhr could get you there but the headstock is a lot different. Charvel now does a sculpted heel on custom shop orders but its still not as sleek as the Ibby AANJ. GMW makes a great guitar if you can get along with the "traditional" headstock (I like it)...not sure if Lee would do a bolt-on 24 fret neck though. Maybe the Luxxtone dude can build it?

I like the sound and the ease of playing, just looks like I should be wearing spandex w/ it...not the cool early 80s spandex, the less cool late 80s spandex

Hamer Diablo is 24 frets with a shaved down heel as well and could be bought stupid cheap for cs quality.

Early 80's spandex was with Charvels. Late 80's spandex was with Ibanez.

Late 80's Ibanez guitars aren't AANJ though. The slanted heel isn't much of an improvement.

Gotta have big enough hands to get those top frets either way. Which is probably why the Charvels don't bother me after years of old-heel RGs.
