OK, so after years of procrastination, I decided to start doing some YouTube videos for fun. I tried to get into it last year but that fizzled. Anyway...

Thought a demo of my Charvel Satchel would be a good one to try. It's such a cool, happy funball guitar.

For those who do happen to watch this, a little advice please: I put the song at the front and a demo of the Fishman Fluence Classics after. Should I have put the Fishman demo up front?

Nice! Love the way those look (even with the satin finish, which isn't really my thing). Sounded great, too!!

FWIW, I liked the way you did it, with the song first and the pickups after.

Thanks man, that is just pretty much of my normal "turn it on and play" setup through the KSR. I thought about scaling it back and do more of a raw demo with less gain and more cleans, but screw it...

Nice video! I liked how there was zero talking so you could just hear the guitar, and it didn't end up being super long.

I've been debating which Fishmans to put in my LTD, and now I still don't know :) Probably still the moderns as it's sort of my metalish guitar but this demo sure muddied the waters a bit for me.

Good Stuff!

Great demo. Would love to see the guitar straight in to the amp, but the different voicing still came through really well here.

Cool, thanks for the good word guys.
The fishmans are really 3D sounding to me, they are not dry or sterile or anything like. Lately I’ve really gone back to my roots with the good ole “hit you in the face” DiMarzio Super Distortions and Evolution, so I’m liking those better. But the Fishmans are just really good sounding. They’re like a sure thing, I think they would sound good in any guitar. They don’t feel like they are driving things hard, they just sound open and 3D is the best way I can describe it.

I have a set of 7 string moderns on the shelf but yet to try those out.

Great looking guitar and kick-ass video....nice quality too! \m/

While I do like the super tight compressed pickups. (X2n) :D
I really do like the open ‘3d-bloomy ‘
Pickups too. I had a favorite one of them years back.
Bartonoli?? Talking over 20 years.
It just sounded HUGE’
I think I need to get me a new pickup to slap in one of my mahogany guitars for when I’m feeling froggy for that tone.

well done, great just like that!! congrats, start doing more!

Yeah, do some more!! Definitely one of the better demos I've seen, especially because I didn't have to wade through "hours" of mostly worthless chatter to get to the parts I wanted, namely hearing the gear.
