Anyone ever messed with a 30” scale baritone? The ones in the link above are supposedly absurd quality for <200 dollars with stainless frets, roasted mahogany body, etc.

I’m sure the electronics need to be flipped, but the bones are good. I really want to play with one of these and tune it a full octave below standard E.

Someone talk me out of a cheapass Chinese guitar please

Wouldn't a full octave below E just be the same thing as a standard bass guitar?

That bass v1 is supposed to be good quality. But you know how the YouTube review game goes…

$216 after shipping and no tax, hard to not roll the dice on that little dough. If you hate it you can probably flip it for $125-175 without too much trouble.

Personally I wanted to fuck with a baritone so I just low balled a bunch of people for a Reverend until I got a hit at like $600 (it's $1200 new). Probably not the most fiscally responsible move, but if I ever want to get rid of it I'm extremely unlikely to lose money on it.

Have a firefly 28” LP style…it’s spectacular. Electronics are still a bit TBD, but I frankly don’t care as I tend to replace stock electronics on most guitars. It’s a solid guitar; not just a “solid for $200” guitar
