after a decade of gear snobbery I have been putting together the MOST frugal MINI pedalboards possible recently.

I wound up with a list of options I figured I would share.

It is AMAZING what tones can be had by a 15 year old kid these days. "When I was young blah blah ..."

it is by no means complete, and prices do change, so don't sue me if you find one for 13 cents cheaper, but this should be the cheapest you can get these pedals/sounds as of now.


I prefer TB loopers with cheap pedals, no clicks no wear on suspect switches etc.

most of them are close enough or just as good.

the usual issues are broken switches and pops, use loopers and those are not issues any longer.

almost all of them are SMD which sounds a bit dryer but most people can't tell. for the money the confirmed clones are great.

thus far I have had good luck though I don't step on them.

if you think about it this way a $20 pedal that is a clone of a $200 pedals allows you to buy two or even three and STILL spend half as much. if reliability is paramount buy two at a time.
