Check out the new location for my studio!

Hey guys,

Well some of you know all the studios are getting kicked out of our building in Hollywood this year due to it being gutted to become a hotel. So I've been looking at new locations the past few months, well we found one today. 3 times the size of our current studio and 8 personal parking spots. Unbelievable! It's built out beautifully for a studio already and has everything we need to expand out studio, management firm and record label. The interior is very uncared for, so we're gonna take a few weeks, gut and redo everything, new floors, treatment, door jams, paint, lighting electrical, ceilings etc... We get it February 1st and will probably take 3 weeks to finish before we can move. Here's a very rough video my wife and mother-in-law took while checking it out after I had left. The tracking room is very dark so you can't see but it is huge and amazing, we're gonna be able to do full band live now. Very exciting!

Congrats! Kind of a pain in the ass to have to move but sounds like it will be a lot better place in the end so I'm sure it's exticting at the same time!

WAY cool man!! Is it close to home?? What are the chances of finding buildings available that are already built out as studio's!! I always chuckle just a little bit when I see office space on the west coast. I found office space for our company before it was bought out by a large company a few years ago for 4 guys and an IT lab and we found a 4500 sq ft space that cost us 1200 bux a month!! and we are 5 minutes from the airport and less that 3 miles from my house....and no one had EVER occupied it...it was all brand new space....CRAZY EH!!!!

hey james,..good luck with the new studio,...i bet your not looking forward to moving all your shit thou!..

i have a question reguarding the scumbacks that ya use,...what do you hear as far as differences between the H/M75's?
and i noticed you have a v30 in each of the cabs,...is this just for recording purposes?...does the v30 over power the scumbacks?...are both cabs basicaly the same size?..(ever experiment with scumbacks and an oversized cab?)

i'm interested in your thoughts on these speakers,..
