HELL no. I definitely could understand why you wouldn't want to deal with them after that. My worst nightmare is having a guitar delivered to my doorstep like that. I bet the mailman had a dumb ass look on his face when he dropped that box off

That is pretty sweet Thing I like about satin black is that it doesn't pick up dings and shit very easily.

The only thing I hate about the Nuno guitars are the neck profiles vary to much between different profiles when I look at them...


Funky Munky can suck a big a dick with their shitty packing or should I say lack of any packing and shipping with guitars...
I passed over quit a few cool guitars they had just because it was them selling it..

Damn man....I've had great service from Jon and the boys at FMM.... comped me a free case and it was packed properly when my N4 went in for repairs, even if the Refret job was not 100% .... it was done under warranty on a sale he made a couple of years ago

Yeh some one here told them I was talking shit before and they posted like they were concerned and never replied and never replied through ebay...
This is what a Nuno guitar that my g.f. bought from them looks like, that was shipped with no packing at all just a gig bag thrown in a box with no support...




Fuck them... Would never trust them to ship anything let a lone a 2k Nuno guitar...
And I have wanted a few things they were selling in the past that a few members could tell you here that I mentioned...

Yeah...you have a right to be pissed..that one looks like it was mangled and patched up by the carrier but there is no excuse for shipping it without adequate packaging in the first place...surprised it wasn't made right.

I did not post the pictures for anything from you guys, As you can see above...
But since you wanted to respond and are not being truthful about it...

You only replied or responded to her once, wanting pictures of the box, ect,ect.. she sent them directly to you at Funky Munky once before and she sent you a second copy through ebay also...
And She never got a response...
She still has your one and only response message, including her message she sent to you in her Ebay message's folder..

And this was the same public response you guys posted here previously, Last time I posted those pictures..
To which I was requested to P.m. you or some one claiming to work there through here, With the pictures again for a 3rd time...
With No response through here or any place else...




I had the guitar looked over and re-set up and I made her keep it,
Nothing was done to the guitar that would require repair or would not have happened after being played a lot...
She is over it..
It is done and over with for both of us..
We have dealt with it already by choosing not to do business with you guys anymore based off of that experience..
And that is that...

Look, I'm not blaming anyone but us for this one. However, please don't go around saying that we aren't being truthful. I would gladly post screen shots of my correspondence. To prove that I am telling the truth. You have a high post count here, and having read your posts, you seem like a decent guy.

As for prior posting of photos, this is the first time I have ever been involved on rig talk, only because someone forwarded me the link. I own FMM. I'm personally trying to find a way to make this right. I have 12 employees and if someone repeatedly dropped the ball, then either way it falls back on me.

I am sorry this happened. If you want to keep blasting me, go right ahead. After the way that thing arrived, we deserve it. All I can do is apologize. Obviously the box didn't leave our store looking like that, but as for the packaging inside (or lack thereof), it appears that it was woefully inadequate. For that I am truly sorry. We screwed up. While I don't like reading threads like this, they are rare, and if we have angry people, we want to make things right.

we don't deserve another shot at your biz, we proved that the first time. Your $399 guitar should have been packed the same way that a $3000 guitar would be. THAT is unacceptable. We have passed UPS's test lab (rare for a guitar retailer) and we even use a third party insurer to be certain packages are fully insured in the event that a forklift punches through the side of one.

I have publicly apologized, and have also done so privately to your GF. All I ask is that you don't go out and blast us repeatedly. That is all I ask.

also, as of right now, you have a $100 credit on file with us to use on anything you like. Strings, cables, picks, whatever you want.

I'm just trying to make the best of the rotten deal you got.

You read my post's you can see I do not blast you or Funky Munky repeatedly.. 2 times in a year to be exact and stuff gets posted here that you guys are selling every other week almost..

Like I already said I did not post those pictures to receive anything from you guys but I am well within my right to share my experience...
Not interested in the $100 credit either because I have already said we will not purchase anything from you again and nothing will change that...

I can't believe what has happened to the davies era market for these.

the body on the python was a solid 1 piece quilted mahogany

somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 were built. 15 went to japan, 1 or 2 to Europe, we had 2 and another couple stayed in the usa

the scales were covered with lacquer so they wouldn't flake off like warren demartini's charvels have, but they still do flake off.

they have the older spec, wider neck, thinner, more U shaped profile. Nice guitars.

the python skin was from an indonesian government owned snake farm (harvested to eat and skins sold off) I have seen these skins prior to being cut down for the bodies. The freaking snakes are HUGE.

they caught some crap for using animal skins and quietly did away with them

Just wanted to say that I have dealt with Jon/Funky Munky and it was truly a pleasure. The business (and Jon) is a class act. I would buy (and feel comfortable) with any purchase from them. Jon's email correspondence is extremely quick.
