You got that right. From about Portage and west to Chicago it's dingy, dirty and dilapidated. The flip side of what I posted above is that NW Indiana is a shit hole, so it’s not surprising the people/businesses there would welcome the influx of cash it would bring.
I kinda hate the initiative - I think it’s a stunt, but it would have the potential to pull a former steel economy out of the gutter. I think it has zero chance of happening, butYou got that right. From about Portage and west to Chicago it's dingy, dirty and dilapidated.
I finally went to a casino in Hammond and it was unreal: step outside the casino doors and it's genuine ghetto.
And it would be unbelievable to have the Bears in Indiana: a small fly-over state with 2 (two!) NFL teams.
Yeah, NFL teams have played that game many times. Sometimes they get a new stadium and stay put, sometimes they move.I kinda hate the initiative - I think it’s a stunt, but it would have the potential to pull a former steel economy out of the gutter. For once we can agree on somethingBut, are they? This feels like nothing more than a stunt, wasting people’s time to force Chicago to pony up.![]()
