I've been a Chimp fan for several years.

When i saw how the old guy was playing I'm like WTF, it's upside down, and with NO PICK. Crazy.

I don't even think of Chimp Spanner as a guitar player. I'm not all that interested in his playing. Where he shines is in his musicianship and compositional abilities. Of course he's a good player, but I think his true strengths are elsewhere. His music takes the listener somewhere. It's not a dude playing guitar...it's a vision. To me, that's what it's all about.

I think he's a competent guitar player, but his songwriting skills are unreal. as you said- it takes you somewhere. listen to At The Dream's Edge all the way though....it's a story.
