I'm looking at speaker options for my Soldano 4x12, to use with my SLO100.
Here's what I've tried:
1. Four Eminence X12000's - too smooth, I want more texture and 'rip' in the sound
2. Two Vintage 30's on the bottom and two Eminence X12000's on top - good, but still too smooth
3. Four G12H-30's - great, but I want some more of that V30 grind and 'rip' in there
Here's what I'm considering:
4. V30's on the bottom and Greenbacks on top - Works for Friedman
5. V30's and Creamback 65's in an X - ???
6. V30's and UK G12-75's in an X? - I had this in an old Marshall cab with a '78 JMP 2203 and it was killer. VERY in your face sound
7. V30's and G12H-30's in an X - again, a great sound, very full and good for rock.
What are your recommendations?
We play heavy progressive alternative rock. Lots of heavy rhythms, open chords and inversions and lots of delay lead stuff.
