I need a good chorus pedal to join the party in my rack tray. What do I need to be checking out?

Both are amazing chorus pedals.
I would stay away from the purple stripe TC, but if you find an original, go for it.
The Dr Scientist is sick.....
Theres a bunch of clips here...

But it is a bit over the top if you are not gonna use all it can do. But it still does beautiful regular chorus sounds

I really like the MXR Black Label Chorus. Cheap but really organic... same feel as the Carbon Copy.

I just went through the same thing and checked out a crapload of pedals. Faves were the Retrosonic, MXR Black Label, & Jacques

i settled on the good old big yellow MXR stereo chorus and couldn't be happier. it booted my TC nova dynamics (which i was using mostly for chorus) off my board real quick.

Love that pedal, it's great.

Same here
I'm pretty picky about chorus sounds that I like and I've been through quite a few pedals. I started to think that maybe I don't like chorus and should just forget about it..
This is the first chorus pedal that I use live quite a bit and that is gonna stay on my pedalboard. I seem to like the 'studio' and 'modern' settings the most.

Yep  Those are also the two I use most. They fit into the music we are playing quite nicely. The second output sends a very good signal that's usefull as well. Built well.

Try an old Rockman Stereo Chorus if you can. They sound great for distorted high gain tones. For clean tones they are big and wide, but a little cold-sounding for my tastes.

I have a Visual Sound Liquid Chorus & Echo pedal which is great (the older version). But for cleans I use a slow setting on a flanger pedal instead. Has a really warm, swirly sound. Sounds killer with higher gain tones but can get a little whooshy.

The 1/2 rack space unit? I actually have one of those in my toybox somewhere...I'll have to dig it out.

Keep in mind with pedals, more so than with other guitar gear, there are a million options.

I really like the Jacques Meistersinger, they are a pretty good deal used and sound great. They are not stereo....

I'll throw out something cheap and simple that sounds good. Check out the starcaster by Fender. 19.99 at Best Buy. It's seriously well built and does a good chorus for clean use. Seems to be true bypass if that's important to you
