Very cool to see the growth that he's exhibiting as both a song writer and guitarist :clap:

His interview from Decline of western Civ. II and a picture of him now should come as a warning label on guitars for aspiring rock stars.
 
Blackie Lawless, Chris Holmless,and Jonny Rodless were ALL weak links in WASP. It wasn't until Doug Blair and Stet Howland joined the band that they did anything good.
 
Johnny Rod was good bassist. Piper was the great writer.
 
I actually enjoyed Chris's playing back in the day........but this is just sad.
 
i love wasp and like the stuff chris did with blackie.

If nothing else, this vid made me aware that he's still alive. For some reason I thought Chris passed some years back.

Funny seeing the slag commentary on a bonafide rock star by a bunch of guys obviously touring the world as well.
 
Ah...a bonafide has been rock star so cocked out of his mind in that movie that he was a poster child for the anti 80s culture that took hold shortly thereafter ? That rock star ? Whatever...

Most of it was staged - quite well known if you're a student of the era.
Hardly a poster child...but hey...I'm sure you've made a living from playing your guitar, so kudos to you! :thumbsup:

I thought the video the OP posted was a pretty good poke at himself.

Yeah, and such a genius, he was doing construction work between tours because he let Blackie convince him that he should get zero publishing. He's obviously broke, looks like shit, is alchohol-addled, sounds like shit and doesn't go to the dentist. I'd say I'm happier with my lot in life comparatively...

Always liked WASP back in the say though...
