I saw something last week about a guy shooting up a church and then burning it. What was that all about and how come I don't see much more about it? Did anyone die? Why did he do it? Etc

Well it helps if you quit paying attention to the media. Shooting deaths are less now than they were in the 70s really you just get to see it on TV 24/7. And far more people are killed in urban shitholes than churches or schools or shopping malls. Mostly with handguns.

I think that shit happens in any major city. I grew up in STL and still live in the periphery. Like anywhere there are nice places and shitty places. You just gotta be smart and don't put yourself in stupid situations. Montreal and Toronto are probably where most of the violent crime in Canada happens I assume ?

Yes Vancouver has alot of drugs but not as much gang shit.
I live on the west island of Montreal so very little crime here. Cost of living is higher in west end.
