Few of my favorite Brian's tone recordings from the top of my mind:

Later era with the Boss CE-1 split and x4 amp live rig:

Loved the postume album too (those rythm parts 🙏 ) :

And last but not least, that raw multi-track walkthrough from JJ Blair is just fantastic:

My colleague scored a ’74 AC30 with a PTP board and some specific speakers couple of weeks ago. He re-capped it and says it sounds fantastic! 🙏
both grail amp i played were restored early 60s combos NOS’ed up with tubes and cones. the rest all had blankets on ‘em. which is why i think i always wrote off vox in the early days. what i really loved was the early POD era, when kids with the red bean as their only exposure would tell me they “knew” what the vox tone was. that was like like playing a badly digitized version of a bad example ac30 with a plastic bag over your head and hands🤣

for the music, iconic.
but iso’ed, that cocked wah mantlepiece axe tone doesn’t have me sprinting down the street in my undies with a fistful of cash 🤣

yeah i’m tremendously late to the “wanting a vox for myself” party😁
adams and petty for sure, and although Rickys gtrs are kinda cherry on that sundae, those interfaces are just too weird feeling for me. like playing an art deco card table or something🤣
Bryan and Keith used strathead Charvels way back when, that´s more up my alley than Ricks :giggle:
