now the bad news..

my H3000 did the dumb and dumber “most annoying sound in the world” the last time i fired her up.. loud buzz instead of fx..great.
called Foley and they said it could be power supply which i sadly didn’t opt to change when it went in earlier this year.

yay vintage.

Oh crap! 😩 Hopefully an easy and cheap fix.

Ouch, not a nice feeling. And yeah, all of these coolest units are likely to act up at any time at this point. Good thing you have a trusted tech available!

Yes, power supply unfortunately is a regular maintenance due on any old electronic/electric device.

@mentoneman , that old Roland JC77 for $280 is a great deal if it is in top working condition! Love those old Roland JC, ultra classic clean tone, and should be more manageable than a 120 :)

Oh look! This was waiting for me now that I am home from Toronto vacation! 😍

The RJM controllers are beasts. All 16 channels, 16 pages, 16 devices, 20 messages (PC/CC/etc) can be sent per single button press, slick cross-platform editor that is still updated to this day (5.4.0 just dropped a few months ago). When it's a common, well-defined device, there's usually an option in the menu for it that you can grab and go with zero thought necessary on how to use it.

I have mine to toggle colors, highlight text, and bold certain parts for every button press so I know exactly what is going on at any given time. Can't say enough good things about how awesome it is. Effects Gizmo integration is awesome with it, too.

it sounded really nice! the chorus in it is so legendary. it should be in a library as a permanent reference tool for anyone who wants to know the origins of chorus🥇

Cannot wait to start programming the rig! 🙏

the moment you dial in your rig and just step on buttons to go from your dream clean to roaring crunch to your favorite lead sound is a very satisfying thing!

very timely video for my princeton project!

although versus getting another princeton or tweed variant to pair with it for stereo or w/d,

i’m pretty set on getting a small vox combo and the ac10 is tonally and ergonomically a perfect fit.

it adds the slight vox breakup i prefer at a lower volume versus a pushed tweed fender sound,

and the legendary vox chime in the highs.
