Please advise how do you maintain a rosewood fingerboard?

I like to clean it with Naptha 1st, then hit with Nomad conditioner.

for music nomad f-one oil users. how often do you need to oil the rosewood fingerboard? and how much of the oil do you apply?

I use it every time I change strings .... I put a drop or two between each fret ... then rub it in with a sacrificed clean t -shirt ... if it soaks it right up ... apply a second coat ....

Thanks..any risks in using too much?

I use my own mixture of boiled linseed oil and citrus-turpentine (20/80). It cleans, revives and protects the wood.

if you use to much the fretboard won't absorb it ....
I usually do like a drop between each frets ... rub that in ... wait a few minutes ... repeat .... if you've never used it before on that particular guitar it might take a third light rub in coat ...
worse case scenerio you just wipe it off if it doesn't absorb ...

I have been using Dunlop 6532 as a rosewood conditioner for many years without any problems. GHS Fastfret has also proven itself for cleaning coarse dirt. I then cut the dirty end of the Fastfret with a knife.
