Climate change is real and drives human migration...sorry MAGA

I believe climate change is real. There is no doubt that the climate is changing. The Planet's climate has always been changing. The question is: Is it because of humans? And if it is because of humans, is there anything we can really do about it?

These days the media has programed a lot of people into believing Humans are the cause of climate change. It's like a freaking religion how nutty people are. Ok, for argument sake, let's say it is caused by humans. We will never be able to do anything about it because of China, Russia, India, North Korea, Pakistan, and just about every country in South America and Africa could give 2 fucks about it.

But climate has been in a constant state of flux forever. It was only 10,000 years ago we had miles of ice covering the northern 1/4 of the planet. What caused the Earth to heat up and melt the ice?

The most logical explanation I have seen describes how the Earth's axis wobbles over thousands of years. Slight variations in the axis can cause significant changes in temperature. This is what is likely causing the change in climate we are currently experiencing. It's a lot of complex geometry but it actually makes a lot of sense and they can prove it. Unlike the climate change activists freaking out because they have been totally brainwashed.

Mostly true, but the human impact is undeniable to anyone attempting to use logic.

Yes the earth absolutely changes on its own, very slowly over time.
The change that happened immediately after our Industrial Revolution was extremely drastic and in no way “natural” outside of extinction level events.

There is no possible way you can use logic and not clearly see the impact we have had on the climate.

Show me undeniable proof and I am in? Because we've been told for decades the ice cap is melting and Florida will be under water. Nothing has changed on that front. I suspect the Earth has been warming since the last Ice Age.

It still doesn't change the fact that we can't do anything about the rest of the world building hundreds of coal power plants and dumping trash into the ocean. India and China alone are polluting the world more than the rest of the countries combined.

That’s a bunch of anecdotal bullshit, and you know it. You are the one that chose to use “logic” for an explanation. Look up a graph, any graph, they all show the same thing, of the earths temp over say a few million years or so, preferably more.
The spike in temps directly after the Industrial Revolution is undeniable. It went up, and continues to go up.
If you want to stay on the “fringe” and pick and choose what science you want to believe in, that’s fine, but leave logic to the people that actually use it.

These dumb fuck shitlibs are concerned with the climate a million years from now. It really is a religion to them. Fags. :ROFLMAO:

You should move to china then. You can fertilize your crops with human shit. But at least you'll have solar!

  • From 2010 to 2023, solar energy received an estimated $76 billion in federal subsidies, compared to $65 billion for wind and $33 billion for oil and gas.
I want my money back.....
Indeed.

The Aussie gubment declared not long ago that green energy is already cheaper than fossil-fuel-based energy.

Turned out that they didn't add in the whopping subsidies. You couldn't write this shit unless you had a lobotomy and understood the thinking.

EDIT:
Of course, that explains why our power bills have gone through-the-roof and continue to climb despite promises of reductions for years now... due to this new, cheaper energy of course.

I am being serious. If you never turned on the news, would you have any idea we are in a "climate crisis"? I notice a little less snow than when I was a kid, otherwise things are pretty much the same.

That is more anecdotal stuff.
Data, actual data by actual scientists all over the world all show an unprecedented rise in temperatures.
A few degrees might not mean much to you and what you wear, but it is not normal when looking at the history of the planet.

Yes the earth has cycles. We are still in an ice age age and we will go be leaving it without or without humans, but we are leaving it way faster than any other time in history and “logic” will absolutely tell you that the rapid rise starting exactly when we starting burning coal industrially, is not a coincidence.

So that is a no?

So that is a no?

I don’t really watch the news much so, sure the answer is no.

A better way to phrase it is that if you never make an effort to educate yourself on the topic, then you probably would not know we are in a climate crisis. If that’s acceptable to you, then again, please leave logic to the people who actually use it

I notice a lot less snow. Haven’t had the snowblower out in a few years now
As someone who has been a plow contractor for 20 years, I can anecdotally say with absolute certainty that we receive much less snow than we used to when I was growing up.
And it’s not even close

That being said, snowfall will always vary year by year and the amounts we receive in one particular area is in now way indicative of global trends

You are fighting the good fight, my friend, but I think you are wasting your time with the effort. I've done it myself many times and it always ends the same way. Science denial isn't about evidence.
