Figured I'd build a Vox 846-HW clone in Sonic Blue  Waiting on a few parts that'll be in tomorrow. Scroll down for finished pics

Now that is some hard core dedication to turret boards

Agreed on the turret boards. I'm lazy and would have just used strip board on it......but that's because I'm lazy! :)

Who'd you get the wah enclosure from?

I cant chew gum and Wah Wah at the same time   ...BUT.
That looks real sweet. Hows the tone match?

As if my normal playing isn't bad enough, add in my wah game and it's a trainwreck. Anyway, it's very vintage sounding with a large vocal sweep.

Thats a great looking build. Clip sounds nice too.
Heres the ones I do:

Looks like Vox or Dunlop based? Is that a Halo inductor? This was both the first wah build and first wah I have owned. Definately going to take getting used to.

Who do you guys buy wah enclosures from? Just curious as I've looked at the enclosures from Small Bear, but can't really determine anything from the pics on them.

Yup, halo inductor, original Mullard tropical fish caps,Russian military polystyrene caps, BC109b transistors and I’m using the Chase Tone Tru-Talk pot. Killer combo that creates a super chewy, vocal sounding wah. There’s so much to take in if you ever really go down the rabbit hole.

I get mine from Pedal Parts Plus and get them powdercoated there as well.

Somehow I missed the Pedal Parts Plus wah enclosures. Thanks.

Scpttosan, I'm loving this build, do you have any technical files you'd be willing to share? I'm just getting started in pedal making so could do with a hand.

If you Google and image search for Vox 846-hw, that should get you in the ballpark
