I've tried different tones and different mics and different combinations of both.. trying to decide. I have an idea which one I'm gonna use (at least for this track) but I was just wondering which one you like and why?

Just bored.. Bare with me :)

Basically same riff plays 4 times in 1 mp3. We'll name em 1,2,3,4 for convenience.

I liked 2, seemed a little thicker.

Edit: although I gotta say are they all the same, cause they sound different but are very close, that'd be funny   ?

1 was recorded with mic A and B in room a
2 was recorded with mic A and A in room b
3 was recorded with mic A and A in room c
4 was recorded with mic A and A in room c but with different eq than 3

I can hear significant difference in all tbh

EDIT: A and A means 2 of the same model mics.

Right on man, it's late for me, I do like 2 the best though.

Edit: Took the eq off my speakers can DEFINITELY tell a difference, sorry dude.

EDIT AGAIN: Definitely 2 it warmest and thickest, that's what I'd like anyway for something like that riff.

I liked 4 the best, seemed to have more mids and less brittle highs, might need a tad more in the high end, but overall I think I liked it best

Agreed :) I used to run far far away from high end (those ear piercing frequencies) but listening to the same recordings on home stereo, multimedia speakers, car stereo, monitors, headphones and so on, I decided that a healthy high end is very much needed for a good sound. 4 is lacking in that aspect for sure.
