Clip: Steve Stell (Enforsaken) soloing over a riff of mine

This is an old clip that I never posted before. Steve posts over on the Caparison forum and was cool enough to put a solo over a couple random riffs of mine. He's one of my favorite players so it was awesome hearing what he came up with for something I wrote. The tone is nothing good, but oh well. It's been so long I don't even remember what I used for it. Pretty sure it was a 5150 and Steve just used a POD. Anyways, just wanted to post it and see what you guys thought. :thumbsup:
 
sounded great to me - I dig that one really wide wicked vibrato he did!

Yeah for sure! I wish I could play anything half that good. :doh: :lol: :LOL:
 
The riff doesn't need to be harmonized when the solo is going on IMO. Too much stuff going on in the background when it is harmonized. But I know you won't agree with that :scared:
 
His lead tone hurt my teeth. :D ....I'm listening on headphones though...

Haha, you're right, I disagree 110%. Just listen to a lot of Soilworks riffs when the solos are going on for example. Some of their best riffs are those solo rhythm riffs and a ton of them are harmonized.

I gotta tell ya Mark, The soloing didnt do anything for me but the riff was cool. You havent posted too much but from what Ive heard , you do put some nice little riffs together..
