CLIPS: Creamback 75 vs V30 vs Greenback

Maybe it's my old screwed up ears... but listening to the first clip, I hate the v30's... kinda harsh. I agree the GB's are blah and the CB's are the best.

Are the EQ settings the same in every speaker rec session or do you change them in order to get the best sound out of every one? ?

I see...maybe greenbacks need different EQing...
I have a quad of gb and one quad of V30 and the settings are totaly different every time you try to get the best results out of every speaker...
V30 are very present in some freq...many high mids even though V30 are dark speakers...
Gb are warmer but they are definitely brighter...

I think that the amp is tuned to V30's as your ears too...(same happens with everyone of us who have a specific tone in mind).

Yeah for sure. Those are also Mesa V30.

I'm kinda surprised that even though i'm almost exclusively a V30 guy... I actually dug the Creamback 75 the most. The Greenback did nothing for me at all.. sounded kinda wimpy and loose overall compared to the other speakers.

It is a toss up between the V30 and CB75 with a slight edge going to the CB75.

I'm thinking that a 412 with the CB75s on top of two V30s would sound pretty great.
