COC appreciation l thread. Jammin Man or Ash!!

LOVE COC

Deliverance, Wiseblood and the very underrated America's Volume Dealer is a three-album run that is tough to beat in my opinion.
Fuck yes. Those are my three faves. Americas Volume Dealer is great! Just a vibe on the whole record. Love in the Arms too.

Been a huge fan since I saw them open up for Metallica in '97. Albatross is one of my favorite tunes of all time, and Deliverance is easily a top 10 album for me. Blind/Deliverance/Wiseblood are all killer albums.

Great band!
Been a fan since the mid 90's, and have seen them live many times. Always killer!
One of my top 3 shows of all time was seeing COC and Clutch at the Opera House in Toronto on the Wiseblood tour.
Clutch was fantastic, but then COC came on and just blew the place up. Fukking epic!
Met them a couple times too, and they are just super cool, chill dudes who love to play heavy music.

COC is the only band that I have a tattoo of. I've loved all of their stuff regardless of the genre switching, but I'd have to say that Deliverance, Wiseblood, America's Volume Dealer, and In The Arms of God are the ones I listen to the most these days. I'm really looking forward to their new double album.

Back in the old days, I swear I just about wore out my Animosity LP

Deliverance holds a special place in my heart. I never knew I would want metal with a twinge of southern rock, but it was executed so perfectly with such great songs. Downright evil with a dash of down home sweet.

Great band, great record.

Love me some COC. Voting With A Bullet iconic.

Prison for praise is not worth thinking
Sin is still in and our ballots are shrinking
So unleash the dogs - the only solution
Forgive and forget, fuck no
I'm talking about a revolution

PURE POETRY !!!

Never been able to get into it. Their early hardcore punk shit is okay I guess, their "peak" albums that everyone likes are really boring to me, idk. Plus the lyrics are kind of cringe.

Pepper would have been a better bassist for metallica than robert though, I think

Jesus. I have not listened to COC since I was in early high school. They were big in Raleigh/Durham area. They would play the quads at UNC and Duke campuses when security was lax as fuck and you could drink at 18 years old (legally). After about 87, I lost interest. I recall member change ups and what not. Ehhh.

well i listened to Deliverance and Wiseblood today, and im with Dan in the "really boring" boat :dunno: i tried lol
