COC appreciation l thread. Jammin Man or Ash!!

No likey Albatross or Seven Days? So good!

I wasn’t looking at names as I was working, but nothing grabbed my attention enough I felt the need to look and listen again. It’s produced well, peppers voice is good, its just kinda uniform and mid paced which just isn’t my thing, I can understand the appeal though

All good but Blind is their peak IMO
I think I agree. I prefer Pepper’s vocals but there’s a multitude of bangers on Blind and Mullin’s drumming is off the charts. I would say their great run is Blind through Wiseblood. Some of the fat rhythm tones they got on Blind are almost stupidly bass heavy but awesome all the same.

Agree with that. They tend to groove vs thrashing out. I think the leaf was thriving in the studio…

Been a huge fan since I saw them open up for Metallica in '97. Albatross is one of my favorite tunes of all time, and Deliverance is easily a top 10 album for me. Blind/Deliverance/Wiseblood are all killer albums.
My uncle killed some thug once who wanted to die by cop. He succeeded. He had a suicide note in his pocket and my uncle was like he had some crazy suicide note…. He let me see it and I started laughing. It was the lyrics to albatross…. Was always a fan till pepper went on an anti trump rant in the middle of the set. Then he acted butt hurt when people disagreed vocally….

@The Blazing Saddle ❤️ the COC
The little lib beta-faggot who doesn't have two nickels to rub together tries to be funny when he's not stalking @novosibir just like the little cunt gnome that he is. 100% complete loser.

Such a killer band! Love the crossover material (Animosity is a stone-cold classic) as well as the Deliverance-era stuff.
In the Arms of God is kind of a sleeper badass album though. Might just be their heaviest and sludgiest in my opinion. Stone Breaker is an absolute ripper. It's a bummer Reed couldn't be on that one, he has that swing to his drums that a bunch of those songs would really have benefited from.

True...But I will actually take the production on Volume Dealer over In The Arms Of God....It was just so dark and muddy.
I like the production of the drums on ITAOG better. It is super bass heavy though.

Really a minor complaint. I still love AVD
And the drum sound works great on a song like Sleeping Martyr or Take What you Want.
