What do you all think of this band? They sometimes have great riffs and the singing is...well...unique....

I got a couple albums a few years ago but kinda forgot about them.

They are pretty cool.

Love the older stuff. My wife is a C&C nut though. And they put on an incredible live show.

I've heard little bits here or there. I remember some of the parts were pretty cool, but not cool enough to outweigh how much the vocalist annoyed me   .

I really like them. Claudio is a little over the top with his vocals sometimes, but he reminds me of a more aggressive Geddy Lee at times. The guitar work between Claudio and Travis is usually pretty damn great too.

I like them from a musicality standpoint. But ya, the Geddy Lee style of singing can be a touch annoying. Great players though - cool cats too.

can any one make the connection?

Love them, but THIS video gives me goosebumps EVERY time... just a guy and his guitar singing his ass off... please watch 'till the end, it's totally worth it....

Saw them open for Iron Maiden last summer..
I had never really heard of them before that..
They rocked..

That was great!

Love the chorus in this new one:

I've never really cared for them, but I think it's pretty cool that their lead singer is also the lead guitarist- and does both at the same time.

My cousin really likes them (and she usually likes clubby stuff), and she refers to the lead guitarist/singers shredding as "really good finger work".
It gives me a giggle.

that video was..... incredible. You can totally get his passion from that. The guy is getting a serious workout too. Sounds like a marathoner at the end there, huffing and puffing.

I have one of his Uberschalls and it's a great amp. I have a few albums but need to keep up on the new stuff.

The kid in my band would die for them and he keeps bringing up songs of theirs that he wants the band to do. Drives me crazy but I found that if we stall long enough he moves on. Until the next one. I give the band props for being good musicians, but I don't like the vocals and I really don't want to be doing their stuff in our band. I think if there were one or two people watching us who recognized the songs it would be a miracle.

Amazing songs, amazing band! The double album that recently came out is up there with their best work.

I dig C&C, but I'd never play one of their songs in a cover band either.

Welcome home, Wake Up, Favor House, and many others have gone over well in my experience.

I used to be really big into them. I have the first four albums. And I think I have Year Of The Black Rainbow too. For me, it was always hard trying to decide a favorite album. I had it narrowed down to Second Stage Turbine Blade, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, and The Willing Well Volume 4. But out of those three I could never decide because I loved all of them. After Willing Well, it seemed they had a change in there sound... but I could never pinpoint what it was. The first three albums were, to me, incredible. I had the chance to see them on one of their tours and, might I say, the show was amazing!

P.S. I also was big into the Sci-fi backstory to all the albums for awhile..
