Just saw them in Minneapolis at First Ave a couple weeks back...

This was pretty brutal Uberschall tone, but my iPhone couldn't handle the volume:

What do you all think of this band? They sometimes have great riffs and the singing is...well...unique....

Yeppers... I tried to listen to them... I really did... honestly... scouts honor...

But ya, I just could not bond with "Toe Cheese & Diarrhea"

That was many many years ago, maybe they have changed things up since then?

Glassjaw,

They are playing the axefx 2 live now. No ubers used on this tour.

   But I saw an Uber! One of the backups maybe? Either way, it sounded GREAT! Sounded the most realist ever!!!

Interesting. Maybe they held on to one. The tour manager told me they were purging their ubers since they only used the fx now. I know a few of their songs and they definitley get heavy at times. Something the uber does well!

Have heard some really great tunes from these guys. Don't have any of their albums, so have just heard tunes hear and there.

More interesting to me is they have gone exclusively to Axe FX for live. I would love to hear what the signal chain looks like. I mean are they running direct to FOH and using monitors or using cabs with power amps, or powered FRFR?

Cool to know some bigger bands are going with the Axe for live shows. Bet it makes the tones consistent night to night.

Hate them with a passion. I have a few friends that are into them and whenever they put them on, it's worse than nails on a chalkboard. The music is actually pretty good, but the singer is just about the most annoying I've ever heard. And this is from someone who doesn't mind Geddy Lee and James LaBrie.

Who is the opening band? Between the buried and me?

Yep, BTBAM and Russian Circles. I swear I saw an Uber behind the openers. Might be mistaken though...

how were BTBAM? My drummer loves them.

While musically talented, i would rather listen to elevator music.

I like them, something out in left field with great playing.

BTBAM were pretty good, but I wasn't overly impressed with their show or stage presence. They were good, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to be excited about them when Coheed just ripped shit up after them... Honestly, I was most impressed with their drummer. I can see why any drummer would love that band. Guy is good! Cool band overall and something I probably would've been way into about 6-7 years ago.

Speaking of drummers, I'm SO happy that Josh is back in Coheed. He is so good and fun to watch live.
