BULL SHIT!!!.
A friend of mine took a bunch of coins to the bank and was told there is no shortage. Of course, we all knew this. How stupid does one have to be to buy into all this BS being spouted today? It's like they are beliving the COVID numbers so let's just go for it and see how much bull shit we can convince them of.

Then you get the businesses that are trying to take advantage of it. For example, I decided to get a dozen donuts today. The total was $10.06 I gave the guy $11 and he says ( i can't make change for this you are gonna have to give me change). I'm sure he was hoping I would say "oh just keep it".... I didn't my wife dug the change out. I was at the drive-thru and if I had been alone I would have asked for the $10 back and drove off.

I haven’t seen new circulated coins in years. Except pennies.

All the businesses by me said they have had no issues getting coins. But if you wanted to force people to not use cash, what a way to start.
