Cool, but not for me. Give me a few stomp boxes and I'm good :).
 
I wish they would do like the G system and make it detachable to put the brain in the rack to keep everything neat with short cables.

Unlike that it has input/output clipping indicators right up front. Makes me hopeful that it'll actually be capable of easy 4CM integration.

Oh wait, I don't use a loop with any of my amps.

looks cool, lot of people were waiting for this. I think it's going to be G-System competitor, not cheaper though.

but I wonder why they didn't make fx only 1U rack unit, it would be simpler to setup and with mfc controller you could get similar functionality + less cables under your feet.
 
You should compare it to a used Axe Ultra IMO.
I had an Axe II (firmware 6) and an Ultra at the same time and didn't feel any improvement concerning the effects.

Man would I love to have this! I love my rack preamps as it is, I just want the Fractal effects capability since there really is nothing better without going $$$$ Eventide, which has it's fair share of ups/downs.

Maybe this pedal-board is a good start and they'll be like "Well guys, fuck... Let's make a 1U of this thing too!"
 
Can modulation effects blocks like phaser, flanger, vibe be positioned before the preamp input using the 4CM?

Honestly, does nothing for me. But hats off to them for creating another tremendously awesome and constantly in need of updates piece of hardware.
 
I don't even use effects and would not know how to use that complex looking gadget...

Looks cool, but I imagine the price would justify not just getting an AxeFX. In fact all things considered if this isn't under 1k I can't imagine anyone using this over an axe fx with a short board strictly for the tidiness factor.

Just my 2cents but was hoping for some direct competition for the gmajor.
 
Damn, I was hoping I would click on this thread and see a combo amp.

I'd like to check this out then. The TC G-System has been out for a while now, and you still can't place modulation effects before the preamp.

The TC2290 works great using the 4CM. There's 5 loops to work with, and you can use all analog effects if you like.
