Comments on my Suhr Standard

I have owned four Suhrs. I like my modern allot but recently picked up a Standard that has a neck that has killed any other neck I have ever touched. It has a dense very dark ebony board and a slim Even C quartersawn maple neck. The guitar is unreal. Heavier than the other Suhrs I have owned or played. Comparing TA to Suhr is sort of irrelevant as there are amazing examples in each brand. The question is have you found one or two. Your chances are much better than finding a good Gibson as their is much more consistency but not all of them will be great to you. The OP seems to have found a great one. I found two great ones. The neck on my Standard is the best neck I have touched to date anywhere.

The combination of the plek frets and the finish of the neck on my Suhr is unreal. My Anderson is great, but the Suhr is unbelievable as far as playability. Im definitely going to to get another Suhr. I hope I can move the TA. The market right now seems to be very bad. We'll see.

Better not try a Don Grosh, I have a Suhr + another Custom T on the way...and the Grosh is right up there in terms of quality. Pretty slick looking rig

You might want to say "blows them all away" instead of "blows them all"..

However, Suhr has been on my mind quite a bit lately....

My average sized hands are very thankful and I love the 1 5/8 nut width.

The Friedman BE is the best amp I have ever owned. I play mainly 80's rock and metal music, so the BE delivers this tone in spades. I have scumback speakers in my cab and they match the BE perfectly.

+1 BE100 is really incredible

My main gigging guitars are Anderson and Suhr...can't really go wrong with either one in my experience. Both have stellar customer service in my experience as well.

Love all the purple in your rig...my favorite color

I believe this to be the case as well. There are those that might have a personal preference about one over the other, but they are both great companies regardless.

Didn't you own a Cameron CCV?

Nope. I have a Cameron CCV on order. Unfortunately, it seems I wont get it this year.
