i have a couple of amps which have 2 gain knobs for one channel. (and the voicing / bright switches for each knob)
i guess each are for the 1st gain stage and the 2nd gain stage.

i still can't fully understand them .
can someone show me a clear view and how to use??

what i wondered is...

theoretically it's better to have bass cut ( = bright cap) at the first, and to have more headroom in the later stages.
so, the first stage is the position where the bright cap and the most high gain should be.

but for ex, in Fryette Deliverance' case, the 1st gain knob is for thin <-> thick (bright cap) , and the 2nd for adjusting the gain level.
if i set the 2nd gain knob higher than the 1st, can it ruin the clean up by guitar volume?? or at least not better than the opposite?

or in CCV style case (2 gain knobs with 2 voicing / bright switches for each knob) , it's hard for me to set the voicing / bright switch of the 2nd knob right.
it easily makes the sound weird, then why is there the bass cut at the 2nd stage, not the 1st???
