I was set to write off any new Dokken stuff because I love George Lynch so much but this song is pretty good and captures that old feel a bit:

I have this CD and while it is OK at best and Don cannot sing, John Levin rocks!!

I was at Eddie Trunk's site this morning and Don Dokken said he wanted to do stuff "between Tool and Slayer". :)

Not even close!!!

I'm surprised you didn't blow up the internet by mentioning "cool" and "Dokken" in the same sentence. :D

Pretty cool. Jon Levin is the best guitarist for Dokken if Lynch isn't going to do it. Mick on the drums, all while he's also in the Don-less Dokken band, "T&N" (Lynch, Pilson, and Brown), with the album "Slave to the Empire" coming out in a couple weeks.

Got to see Dokken about a year or so ago in Minnesota when my buddy's band brought me on as a guitar tech (you can see Vikings stadium to the right)

They played to this crowd (no bullshit)

I took that second pic just before Dokken took the stage. At least buckethead made an appearance! lol

awesome guitar solo.

this video though, is one production generation away from being in the "worst video ever" thread!
holy wretched.

i can't believe i sat through it!

Hmmm...Paris is Burning.

That whole genre is so dated to me. Terrible. Sorry.

Vocals are also horrible.

Can't listen to the guitar player with songs that are that bad.

Song is classic Dokken .

I have to say that all the notes George Can't seem to find on his guitar in the last 5 years Jon has no problems locating

Thats the nicest way i think I can say it .

The only great part of this disc is Jon's solos and some of his riffs!!! He nails the old Lynch vibe!!!

I must be getting old. I really dig his tone and playing. Obviously Don vocal is pretty hard to compliment but the songs pretty good. I'd like to hear Jeff Scott Soto sing it. Or someone like him. That would kick ass.

Jon Levin is one badass guitar player.. He has some awesome Custom Shop Charvels too! :rawk:

I downloaded this song but I don't think I'd like the whole album.

I love when they jam on "Too High to Fly". Good solo by Jon, but this is near impossible to beat in my opinion (solo starts after 4:30):

John Levine ESQ IS a cool dude. Came to the amp show a couple years ago. Attorney by day, rockstar by night.
