Cornford MK50H thoughts???

I always heard that they were kinda the UK version of a Soldano. Get an RK100. Just because RK is such a bad ass guitars player.

Incredible amp. It was bought as a gift for my brother but didn't get it to him before he bought one for himself.
I own another one as well and it is my only amp.

IMO they are voiced different than the SLO.

Loves me some Cornford stuff, best tone at NAMM on the main floor in 2007 imo was a MK50 w/d with an Eventide Timefactor running boogie 1x12s and a 2/90.

This is my experience as well. I'm constantly comparing my SLO with a new MK50HII.

To me they sound A LOT like a SLO. Maybe just a little tighter.

I bought an MK50 thinking I'd love it. I love the SLO and love Cameron stuff, both of which are constantly compared to the Cornford (or vice versa, actually ).

I couldn't stand the one I had though. Grainy, woofy, coarse.... not my thing at all. I know I'm in the minority on this... maybe I had a bad one?

Had an MK50H which I loved in my W/D setup. I think they are voiced quite a bit darker than a SLO IMHO. It is voiced a bit towards a Marshal but they definitely have their own vibe going on as well, not just an imitator at all.

Missing the high end spikey thing the SLO has going on. More balanced.

When I had my MK50 and Cameron Marshall at the same time, I thought the Cornford sounded really close to the Cameron, with the Cameron being a bit thicker and tighter. Had the same feel to me. Big lowend for being 50 watts.

Cornfords are a very MID Sweet sounding amp, owned a Roadhouse and a RK100, both very very sweet sounding, however Im 2-3 channel amp kinda guy, grab the MK50II or I.

I've had my Cornford quite a few months now and been gigging it twice a week all that time, I LOVE IT !!!
Prior to the MK50 I was using an Engl Powerball then a Splawn Quickrod ..... this blows them away

It's a very unforgiving amp, a real mans amp ... hahahahaha ... mine sounded amazing last night at band practice with my Suhr Modern. Great crunch tone, singing lead tone, role back the guitar volume and I had a beautiful clean sound, warm, woody and full.
