Got my Herbert Mk2 and a brand new keg of Great Divide Oak-Aged Espresso Yeti Imperial Stout on Friday....My two favorite hobbies.... It was a great weekend.

I sold my Mk1 Herbert last August after owning if for 4 years. It's good to be back with a brand new Mk2. I don't notice a whole lot of difference between the Mk1 on the gain channels, though this amp seems to be a tad less compressed and tighter. Also alot quieter than the last Herbert.

Here's some pics (also got those TC pedals the other day too)....

Looks awesome man. I knew you would get a mkII Herbert at some point.:D

Are you going for another CCV as well?

That is pretty much the coolest room I've ever seen, totally unfair that I don't have one just like it. I'm gonna totally have to show these pictures to my wife and tell her to buy me a Herbert and help me set up a two keg cooling area in my basement or I'll divorce her. Wish me luck with that...

I guess it was only a matter of time once I heard about the mk2. I was tempted by the blueface vh4 though. Would have bought it too, but that $ is on hold for the CCV. After getting that, I'll have the 3 amps I've owned and liked the most. I liked that JVM alot too though... still have it?

That's exactly how I explained it to my wife. :D

congratulations on the herbert!

What's a CCV? I've seen a reference to that term a couple of times here on Rigtalk...

Man, thats one sweet looking room you have there
enjoy the Herbert man

Damn man. I don't know what is better....the beer or the amp. I think you have done it right by having both.

Welcome back to the Diezel family. :)

Thanks guys.

Nothing like being able to top off the glass without having to stop playing.

Skrln - the CCV is a Cameron CCV - that Brad - the owner of RT - is resurrecting from the grave. Looks like he'll be taking orders real soon.

Oz - it was either yours or this one... or the Blueface - ultimately I like my old Herbert better than my old VH4 and was really want to check out a mk2. I would like check out your VH4 at somepoint - say hi to my old XTC.

Silverjet - Not sure where your from, but they distribute this beer in 22 oz bottles in various states. It's a limited release - I was lucky to get the keg. I'm a beer junkie so I was just as excited to get the keg as I was to get the new Herbert. lol If you like thick, black high alcohol imperial stouts with just a hint of coffee bitterness, this beer is for you. I love it.

Comparing the VH4 Blueface and Herbert MKII (both 2011) will be fun....and LOUD!!!
The XTC mixes very well with VH4. I don't have favorites here, both are hi-gain , but different.
Cheers,
Oz
