ou guys are both wrong IMHO. Diming the right year plexi with specific transformers and parts will get you that sound. Diming just any old plexi wont get you there. Ask anyone who has tried and tried it and they will tell you the same. Even Mark (rockstah) who has that sound NAILED will more then likely will confirm this ;)

I'll give you that one.. transformers do make a diff and certainly a bypass cap here or there can make a diff in the perceived gain as well.

What sort of attenuator Todd? I still have the Bogshall in the closet here but never bought an attenuator. Held off because I would probably buy one, ship it.....then you know the rest!

Than "Buy it back". hehehe That Bog is great, I'd take that back anyday! Need a Black Orig FISH?  Ultimate Attenuater Plexi option and 100 volt tap.

He has a clip from a stock 70-something plexi that gets really, really close. I wished I could find it. It's on his soundclick.

here is my 78 metalface that i use to test all my specs.
in this clip it was rewired to stock 68 superlead (stock 78 superlead was slightly different) spec and dimed through a power brake.

sounds good Todd!
