After years of using reactive loads and IRS, I though I would try a mic in front of a cab for a change. Peavey MC 2x12 with Celestion G12k85s. Thanks to Zozobra on GAB for the drum track.

As for the new take vs the first one, I really like the first one best. It just reminds me of how my old Ampeg VH-140C would sound on recordings before it literally caught on fire.![]()

I agree and I also favor mic'd clips the majority of the time. It took me awhile and i'm happier with my IR tones lately but it still does not sound like when im playing thru my cab, its similar-ish and works for my late night recording but I may take a stab at mic'ing later on in the year.Kapo_Polenton":3n1i5rsn said:Stealth sounds better than the VTM to my ears.
