He tells his followers to forgive their debtors, that they should not store up treasures on earth and that they cannot serve both God and money. In Matthew 21, he becomes so enraged by people using a temple for economic exchange, he starts flipping tables.

In Matthew 19, a rich man approaches him for instruction and Jesus tells him to give up all his possessions and give the money to the poor.

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God,” Jesus said in Matthew 19:24 NIV.
Too simplistic. God also blesses some people and makes them prosper. Money is however not to be your god.

The issue of Jesus and Temple wasn't about wealth - it was about defiling the Temple as a place of greed and business rather than being the house of God.

The USSR banned Christianity and China restricts it so afraid not.
All you who are thirsty,
come to the water!
You who have no money,
come, receive grain and eat;
Come, without paying and without cost,
drink wine and milk! (Is 55:1-3)

lol oh yeah, I'm a total bigot because I don't believe homosexuality has any place in the church unless you're trying to change your lifestyle.
Yes, you're a bigot. Thanks for agreeing.

Old Testament verse - is talking spiritually about everlasting life.

The truth is Jesus was neither "communist" or "rightwing". Neither the left or the right perfectly aligns with a Christian worldview which has elements of social justice while rejecting humanism and rationalism, hedonism and the anything goes immorality of the left.

There’s a lot of contradictions all through the scriptures. Faith and works, Hellfire, the trinity. Crazy how practically everything can be stretched to fit one’s dogma.
My favorite is how the true tenants of Satanism are laid out on Genesis. /s?

Most of your so called contradictions can be resolved by reading things as whole in context and studying the passages with a variety of proper commentaries.

I thought her words were beautiful. Whether they fit your definition of "scriptural" doesn't matter the slightest.
It does when it purports to be a sermon from a so called bishop in a church. You don't get to teach current secular humanistic manifestos from the pulpit and call it the word of God.

Budde, who has led the diocese since 2011, said she wanted to “counter as gently as I could with a reminder of their humanity and their place in our wider community”.

“I was speaking to the president, because I felt that he has this moment now where he feels charged and empowered to do what he feels called to do,” she said.

“I wanted to say there is room for mercy, there’s room for a broader compassion. We don’t need to portray with a broad cloth in the harshest of terms some of the most vulnerable people in our society, who are in fact, our neighbors, our friends, our children, our friends, children, and so forth.”
