I had one of these back in the 90's. A different voice than the 535q. Definitely interested in one of these.

Adam Jones? It's possible he uses position 4, which is 6 on the 535Q or Dime. Not hard to swap in the right cap value if needed.

Yea Jones. I’m not trying to hype it up - it’s not my preferred wah, but I’ve never heard another wah get the sound that the bb535 gets. If the 535q gets it, why would they reissue the BB? Have a feeling it’s like saying the c+ mode on a mark V gets that same sound as the original c+. Maybe it’s similar, but…

The dime crybaby from hell definitely has the Adam Jones setting built-in. Just crank the dial all the way to the right.

Apparently Dunlop borrowed Adam Jones wah to clone the BB535 reissue.

The reason the 535q doesn't sound identical to the BB535 is the inductor and some of the other parts are different. It gets similar but the resonance is different.

My 9 volt 535q has the red inductor.
My 18 volt 535q has the Halo inductor.
They definitely sounds different.

Milking legacy products is so hot right now.

Can’t argue with that. But wahs have so much personality. I’ve owned so many over the years from different brands, big and small, and they all have their own thing going on.

I have a busted ass BB that I got for a steal because it was broken and I thought I could fix it, or a friend could fix it, or a tech could fix it. It's a sick doorstop now. I do have a second one that works and it of course nails that AJ sound. I feel like the closest I've heard was their bass wah. I'm tempted to snag one.

Anyone know if one of the settings on the Jam wah gets that Adam Jones tone, or cops what the 535s can do?
I have a plethora of wahs.
Old Thomas Organ Crybaby and the Jam are my favs.

I'm definitely getting one. I have been thinking about getting a other Cry Baby from Hell. I rather have the BB535R.

Price on the reissue is $230…think I paid $125 for the real deal. Honestly I would think a Dunlop of some sort would be the next best thing to a 535. Those Jams always sound so good in clips but a lot more traditional. The 535 has way less quack and feels more like youre moving the slider of a filter vs the chicka wah wah thing

I picked up a DIME® CRY BABY® FROM HELL. DB01B yesterday. I had one back about 2007.

This one does sound different. I believe the one I had before had a Halo inductor. This one has the red inductor.
