He has had a $750 deposit of mine for over 2 years now for an interface. Bob is a <@)()@_^*@$_&)@+> and not dependable. Got a complete email file on him, the FUCKTARD that owns Ear Candy and our own resident flake.

Bob's rack gear though is the best in audio, without a doubt. It's a shame that some of those who make the best in gear are seemingly the most unreliable people around. But, seeing this reminded me of the IOU's I have out that float and finance custom build gear and I emailed Bob to see if he is willing to step up and redeem himself.

Steve

PS: OK, I felt bad for beating up on Bob and inserted code for explicative words :D

Wow! Good to know.... :aww:

Hopefully he steps up and you get what is owed to you!

Bro...I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience. I've dealt with Bob on a few things including an interface. He's a class act, great guy and his stuff is the best on the market. Hopefully you end your experience on a positive note.

Seems like a nice guy  and I am always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt once, maybe twice. But two years and many emails is more than an oversight. It's my rant today, only because the subject was brought up   and the fact that my 750 bones he has is compounding at 4% per diem :D

My dad used to have a bradshaw line mixer, and said it was great, but took forever to get...

Inviting n00bs to call Bob is a bad idea.......................................

Yeah Zack......it probably took two years to program your controller

Mine was just a wee little rack interface. Remember when I got the info from you? Its been that long and honestly, I had written it off and forgotten about it. But, I really like his new controller with the Alpha-numerics on it. It wouldn't take him a couple hours to slap me an interface together. But, two years....I am sorry - that qualifies for inexcusable. But, it could be that his email got hacked and he lost all his email addresses and orders. Or, he had some more important orders to fill. Maybe something like that. Will see if he replies. No doubt though, his gear is the best. Hopefully, he makes things right.

I feel ya... been there too brother Steve

Not to make excuses, but he's a pretty crazy busy dude... When I was waiting for my stuff-- He had a couple of tours w/ Landau, something w/ Lukather, the Police reunion show build, moving his business location etc...

You'll get your stuff and when you do-- you'll be stoked.

There was a time when I was going to make an order from CAE, but the stories I read really put me off.

OK, so he has some huge clients, and that takes up a lot of his time... But that doesn't mean that he should take your money, and make you wait for 2 years. That is a stupid amount of time. No way am I that interested in his products.

Agreed. That timeline is absolutely inexcusable. He should be upfront with his clients about the turnaround time. No one should wait more than 6 months if they have extended a deposit. If he can't deliver in that timeline, he should not take people's money.

Yeah, his gear is great, but people have been able to cobble together quality rigs for years without needing to wait 2 to 3 years for Bob Bradshaw to build something.

Seriously, after waiting 2 years Steve, do you even want that piece anymore? God knows my rig changes so much over that kind of timeline that something I ordered that long ago would likely no longer be relevant/needed.....

Get your $$$ back and move on with life! A request for a refund might send a good message to Bob: shit or get off the pot, brother.......

to be clear i didn't mean to imply just calling bob on a whim or whatever, best idea if anyone is actually interested is to wait for the order form and email him or whatever

but yeah shit i feel stupid not knowing any of this, hope it turns out ok for me

idk?! ahhhhhh!!!

I've known him for 15+ years, so getting stuff from him is as easy as one call, maybe two. Just last year I ordered a $1940 custom looper/switcher/mixer which arrived three weeks after the initial phone order and payment in full.

Bob treats people that actually work in the industry much differently than those that are bedroom guitar players. On the phone, Bob can easily tell when a customer is a passionate lifer, or someone that's a bedroom guitar player building a dream rig that he'll never understand and most likely sell quickly. He absolutely hates seeing his stuff on ebay because quite simply it looks like he custom built a piece that really wasn't what the customer needed and/or hoped for. No offense to some guys on this and other forums, but in the touring industry, all the buying, selling, and rig reconfiguring makes you look wishy washy, uneducated, and unreliable. There is plenty of manufacturers that will turn-down endorsing a nationally recognized player because all they do is play the flavor of the month, and then jump ship to a new manufacturer.

If you call Bob to order something, I would suggest you do some studying about switching systems before you call - He doesn't really like hand holding you through the basics of a switching system, which is exactly why all that great info is posted on his site. Read it and get your ideas together before you call. When you call don't mumble, don't act stupid, and don't expect him to spend hours with you on the phone. Also, ask for an accurate delivery date. If you don't like the delivery date, then hang up and order something from Musicians Friend. If you can wait the time, then you'll be the proud owner of an incredible piece of gear and the member of an elite club.
