decided to customize the light dimmers in my house. after accidentally bumping into one of them while trying to navigate my hallway drunk, i discovered they are a 1/4" knurled fitting like standard guitar/amp knobs

it rotates like a knob. it is a push button on/off and the dimmer part rotates like a normal amp knob

I've heard if you remove the backplate, you get better clarity and mids.

i upgraded the wattage from 60 to 100 for more headroom. adding the chickenhead knob also gave it a little more sizzle in its tone. very nice improvement. now i just gotta find out where the tubes are located in this thing
