I've had an on-again-off-again relationship with Gibson Special DC's for a good 15 years. In 2023 I decided to go for the custom shop 60's model. I couldn't gel with it and after 3 months a guy with a Black Penguin wanted to trade, being a Gretsch guy, that was a no brainer. Well, almost a year to the day later I got that DC back from the same guy for a Country Club, because I've apparently learned nothing over all these years.
Well, this time I gave it 8 months at least, but, it was mostly collecting dust again. I've been on a mission to get a higher end amp for a while so I listed it with that intention. A guy with a Suhr Alt T and some killer pedals reached out to me. One of my buddies collects Suhr and has a few amps I want, I figure why not, I can probably get what I'm after. Well, day 1 I must've spent 8 hours playing the Suhr, and at least 3 or 4 hours each day since (I'm off work atm). I can see why people swear by their guitars. This thing plays so effortlessly, the Thornbuckers are some of my favourite HB's I've ever played. Light as a feather. The Gladio is no slouch either, it's the first overdrive pedal I've played that actually feels like an amp.

And while I was setting it up, I decided to give my Strat some TLC after all these years. I had a few parts sitting around to give it a new look.
