If you want to do a comprehensive shootout or rundown of amps that's cool.

But I see no point in dropping 4K on an amp of the week to do a 40 second clip and then sell the amp.

You may be addicted to amps or attention I dunno.

The amp in this clip sounds like a Bogner but John does great work.

I'm not addicted to amps. I don't buy and sell.

I have 7 amps, an axe FX and 6 cabinets. I keep most of what I buy.

I do clips bc people don't get the chance to play these things and have to rely on YouTube to make purchasing decisions on very pricey amps.

I used to be in the same position and really appreciated Mark Days clips to help me decide what to buy.

I don't need the attention. In fact, I sacrifice a lot my own personal time that I could be spending with my wife and two baby girls to make these clips and share my experiences.

If I posted without clips then that would be me just bragging away but I always put work into my videos.

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Do you still have your BE100?

I heard a lot of what I hear from my BE with the volume, presence and treble set a certain way. It is a killer sound, either way. It's got that percussive low end thump while still being bright and crunchy. So many amazing amps these days.

Okay, that's cool. if nothing else you give us an inside laymans view of expensive amps and thats cool.

If someone can afford it, sounds and feels good to them is it really overpriced? I wouldn't hesitate to buy the BE100 again and Im really digging the Ecstasy at the moment, worth every penny IMHO

Ya know…I remember a thread that came up about week or so ago accusing Dan and Carl of coming into other people’s threads and “shitting all over them.” At the time I thought that was pretty weak and unfounded BS. Apparently I was wrong!

Personally I appreciate all the positive contributions you make on the forums Alex! The SE100 sounds great and was what I was hoping to get my PT100 to do. Enjoy it bro!

I've doing this since the very early 70's. Most of those amps, while I'm sure fun to play, I get tired of quick and revert back to vintage style amps with pedals.
Only advice I can offer is as long as you're procuring these amps and enjoy posting clips (which are recorded well) an in depth overview would be that much cooler.

Honestly, I've really enjoyed your playing for a long time Carl. I think it would be awesome to hear you cut a few clips though Alex's different amps. Don't get me wrong, I really dig Alex's clips and playing, but you have a completely different style I would love to hear thru these heads.

I don't get why people are judging the op...This is an amp forum right ? If the guy has the scratch to own a bunch of high end amps than good for him. Its cool that he posts clips. There are guys out there that can barely play a song that own Diezels and Bogners so go figure that out
