Customs delay

Fed ex has had my new guitar is customs hold for several days now. They needed the composition of the guitar so the shop I bought it from sent it. Been waiting all day. Finally around 11am. I get an email saying that they had the info they needed and they will enter it in later today. Now its almost 6pm and the info hasnt updated. I sent an email to ask if it will be delivered tomorrow and the lady who has been dragging her feet since Wednesday said tomorrow or Monday.

I could be patient IF I wasnt having to initiate all the communication and was kept in the loop. Had I not contacted them they probably would have just sent it back...

This was FedEx by the way. None of the woods used were on the Cites list. All common woods that every single mass produced guitar contains...
 
Same thing happened to me. Ymmv depending on the person assigned. For one shipment I didn’t need to provide anything and another they wanted some sort of official form filled out and signed.

The lady assigned didnt give a shit. I emailed her and called several times. She at once told me that she just needed the composition. Then next she needed some CITES form. I called the guy who I got it from and he handled it first thing in the a.m. I called her around lunch and she said "I havent got no paperwork" so I was extremely irritated. I sent another message to the seller who sent me screen shots where he had sent it early in the a.m. about 15 minutes later she sent me an email and said she got it and would enter it in this afternoon.. like wtf enter it in now. It's still sitting in customs hold. She has told me on 2 different days that I will get an updated delivery day by the end of the day. I will be lucky to get this by Wednesday
 
FedEx had my guitar sitting at their hub for over 3 weeks in 100+ degree weather!!!
 
I’m going through the same, 7 days in customs with no update.
