Beautiful scenery!

My father is a cyclist, rides about 30 miles a few times a week with a friend of his.

Hey I just moved from Camarillo in November to here in Ohio.
I've ridden that area before.
Cycling here is far different than CA. All the Mountain Bike rides are about 1-1hr+.

So I am considering selling my MTB and getting a road bike.

Exciting time of the year though with the Tour de France going on and Lance and his team doing as well as they are.

It's the best of both worlds hear,MTB and great road riding not far from out my front door.I still ride the Santa Monica range from time to time when I feel like getting whoooped

Yep I miss riding down PCH on the road and hitting the mountains in Ventura County.

I just don't miss California

I'm just getting back into some cycling. I used to bike everywhere. I picked up a Dahon folding bike so that I can bring it to work and then ride around here. I park at a friend's house and bike over to the office as well as for any errands that I might have to run.

I'm a cyclist! Both road and mountain. I ride down in North County San Diego. My favorite trails are Daley Ranch, Lake Hodges and Calavera Hills.

Here are some pics...

i just started getting into cycling in the past few months and it has been fun so far. It's just a bummer because there really isn't anywhere great to ride here in the city so usually i'll head home on the weekends to ride a little bit.

Damn, I was about to make a cycling thread, but about a different subject. I still might make it anyway

Cool bike! I like Specialized mountain bikes. My bike, a Solis Tephra, is by a small boutique company here in SoCal. They are spec'd really, really well too. The suspension works amazing as well.

Mine has 5.5 inches of travel and weighs about 28 pounds!

I couldn't do 55 on the flat...let alone up in the hills there....I don't think I even put in 5 miles at family speed on the weekend and it was enough...gets too freakin hot here too :D

Since we are on the subject... Here is my road bike, and motorbike...

My longest ride on the road bike was about 50 miles. On average, a regular ride for me is 20 miles. And long is 40.

On the mountain bike, long is 20.

Remember, SoCal is all hill and mountain. Ridiculous climbs!
