D Tuna: Yeah or Nay

Interesting.

I kind of want to get one. Sadly the guitar I have blocked is a lo-pro design. The guitar that it would fit on I don't feel like blocking.

They work as advertised but unless you need an instant switch, you can use the fine tuner to do the same thing.
 
My band does a lot of switching back between E and drop D and for my guitars with non-recessed tremolos the D-Tuna is invaluable. Yes, you could do it with the fine tuner but that's assuming you have enough travel remaining to turn it as far as you need to. If you run out of travel you're out of luck as far as a quick change goes. I usually have to use the fine tuner on the E string after switching anyway, but usually just a single turn or less. Anyway, they are particularly useful for my situation.

EXACTLY!!! 1 of the best inventions for guitar ever. . I 've had to bring a d-tuna guitar to every gig for at least 5 years now .

finer tuner? That's totally impractical- the D Tuna is a magical masterpiece of a creation! Set up correctly, you can flip midstream within a song if you wanted, I love it. I'm consideing putting a 2nd one on my Wolf for douple drop D tuning
