So i picked up an axe fx recently and i love it.

My one complaint is its understated utilitarian cosmetics. I am an aesthetics guy and this box just looks like an fn VCR .

I know its not something to really complain about but I needed to find a negative about the unit, lol.

The manual says the front faceplate is aluminum and anodized, why black cliff???

It could be any cool color or even buyers choice of a few.

I saw a pic of a prototype axe that was gold once.

Just saying...

It's alright, I undersstand. In my case, I'm cool with it. But if you wanna bling out yer Axe, knock yer socks off m'man. Get some chrome buttons, some diamond encrusted trim, see if you can hang in lowere in the rack, Compton style

Me too. Gives a more professional look.

Though I do agree, the VHT and Soldano rack stuff looks SEXY! Especially in Purple.

Build a false head shell with face plate and all. I was tempted to do that. Just make it so the face plate swings open. With the lack of knobs it's not really an adjust on the fly unit anyway. So, having it covered really is of no consequence.
