Technically this could go in the designated forum, but its quite slow so i'd rather ask here.

the FBM model head was supposedly ready for release in March of this year, yet tone merchants or any information on the forum as to the availability of the model is nowhere to be found.

whats the official time for these? is there a waiting list?

Such nice guys of principal......................................

call them on the phone and ask, you'd probably get a kick out of talking to Mike.

Phone, email, Facebook... the DAR dudes are super easy to get in touch with, and very friendly.

Hey,

Glad I caught a glance on the thread. Yep, the FBM head is in production and coming along well. Our first run is totally pre-ordered out and we are actually bout to order the metal/chassis for round two.

We did make some major changes to the internals after our last trip to Sweden and re-engineered the hardware signal chain quite a bit. The results are worth it, but it has been time consuming. This has been ALOT of technology to digest and package up. These are extremely complex amps, and will ship globally from day one, so we are paying great attention to every detail.

Can't wait to get them out! I feel like Dr. Frankenstein... Attached is a picture of what I am greeted with every morning

Amazing news, so there is a pre-order session setup.

what is the best way to contact you or Paul for more detailed information? through the forum, the subforum, by phone, email, or what?

And what is a current rough-estimate-timeline between each batch availability? days, months, half a year?

i am a rising engineer and can respect hard work and dedication when i see it. the hardest part is tuning your final product and removing bugs and errors, as the jump from schematic to production to final product is quite large. its taking me months to design my own model from scratch. to see what you and Paul have crammed into a single package is just amazing. every single detail to the type of tubes and biasing techniques for optimum reliability and durability as well as functionality has been taken care of, no detail left behind. Mad Kudo's - i cant wait for the opportunity to own one, it is something DAR as rightfully earned, one engineer to another

I always talk to Paul on Facebook. He's on there like 24/7.

Oh yes the fruits of an "engineer's" labor..............................

It is a sight to behold watching from the background all right...........

Scott, there a problem?

They have put alot of hours and features into these things. its a daunting task.

Fortin as well. Diezel, etc.

the difference is the price point and the stepping into unknown territory with patent claims to prove it. all i remember doing is going to their once working website and reading the features list. account the time and effort put behind such a project for each feature and then combine it all into a single working build - at a new pricepoint new valued less than what used Diezels are fetching.

sight to behold watching from the background is right. mad respect

Already got one pre-ordered! Was super easy to contact paul and secure my place in line, Cant wait to play it, I'm taking quite a gamble ordering without actually playing thru one first but they just seem so awesome, hah

That amp is a feckin flame thrower. I guess I could look it up, but what kind of power tubes are those?
