Okay, today, it sounds REALLY REALLY GOOD.

I'm starting to wonder if I should keep it for a long time and allow it to appreciate. It really is a nice preamp.

But, yeah. I mean, the brown channel sounds like my dream tone in my head today. effing sick!

Bad time to sell anyway, I would hold onto it if you are getting good tones.

Hold on to it.

Hard to find another one, and you won't get nearly as much back for it if you sell it right now.

true on both counts

my spam thread in the classifieds and on several other sites has gotten hardly any bites despite me probably listing more specific trade options than any thread i've ever seen

Well, a Bogner Fish is going to get more interest than a Schecter C1 guitar.

I would keep it if you can afford to. They are a great preamp!

well duh

but still. i think in a week, from i think 4 different forums, i've gotten like 5 offers total

I posted a WTT post at HCAF for my SL2H just to see what offers I'd get, as I kind of need a backup head (sharing a backup head at the moment). I posted a group shot of my guitars and the only offer I got was some jerk thinking I'd trade my '63 strat for a beat SLO. Dream on

Sold my Fish. I like my original CAE 3+ more. I don't regret it, but I wasn't getting my dream tone. If you are I wouldn't sell it for anything. Our dream tones are a hard thing to find. Keep it and rock the sh*t out of it. ;)

Keep it. At least until the end of the year. Give yourself a good long time with it and also give the economy a chance to pick up perhaps. I've learned the hard way (several times  ) that it's easier (and FAR cheaper) to keep something you think you don't want than it is to try and get it back after you've gotten rid of it.

keep it if you can. Its a limited run, and if perchance you have seller regret, probally will be more expensive at some point to get back into it, might also look at it as a small investment, sometime down the road it may be worth a little more then what you paid for it, perhaps.

PUt it out for a good price and see if it sells, all you need is metallica to play it and your golden.

You have VHT and Egnater anyways..... ;)

I had it out for a very reasonable price, but I'm not bumping it or anything. I only had it listed here.

I've had a few trade offers, blankenship, elmwood, etc.

But, I don't need those. I think this preamp sounds pretty damn good, and it meshes with my stuff REALLY well. The 2290 changes the channels on it perfectly, and sounds killer with it. Like, magical, actually.

Demeter is putting out the TGA-3 pre again too

Played a Fish the other day. Only was able to switch between the country (?) and the brown (non original footswitch). It was a new one. Any difference between yours and a new one?
