Dave... Butterslax channels 1 and 2 similar to Smallbox?

I love my smallbox, with the Plexi channel being a great clean to Ac/Dc platform. But I play in a stoner/doom "ish" band that gets a bit darker and heavier at times, somewhat more than what the BE channel on my smallbox delivers(even though I love the channel). Thinking the Butterslax "maybe" could get me to that next place, yet keep some of the core smallbox tones I am already accustomed to.

Thoughts? Opinions from those who have given the Butterslax a good run?

Well I suppose Ch 1 has some of the plexi thing to it. But ch 2 has more gain on tap then the ch2 of the Smallbox. Over all a much more aggressive amp but you can dial it back and get similar tones. Official video should be out today.

Nice... Didn't see this Butterslax at Friedman's website yet.
Actually, what is the difference between this and BE-100?

From Smallbox to Butterslax is a big upgrade... U$ 1,100.00 more!

A smallbox is nothing like a butterslax, why would you compare them?

100 watt vs 50 watt. 2 channels vs 3 channels etc etc

Well... I didn't compare.
In fact, I consider the fact as an upgrade.
Who tried to compare was the owner of the topic. :thumbsup:
 
Because my goal is to upgrade to the additional sounds of the Slax with some knowledge that I won't lose all that I love about the smallbox...
 
You won't really find much similarities in the 2 amps.
The Butterslax has this angry voice and brutality
that sets them far apart :rock:
