Is this possible to build a BE100 with chorus and delay knob and a separate depth knob and put it in to a 2x12 combo with the 2-12 speakers enclosed as to simulate a close separate cabinet but all in one combo? you could go any where with just 1 amp and guitar of course a Friedman guitar......playing with several bands and studio work and so on
 
Wrong I said to take a great tube amp and have maybe 2 effects installed....Tube amp vs solid state you can't even compare. If anyone could do it Mr. Friedman would have my vote.
 
I'd advise against it. Can it be done...sure. But more shit in the signal chain and things that can go wrong and take down your entire amp. If you want chorus and delay or whatever modulated FX...put a rack or pedal(s) in the chain. You want to drill and modify your amp or have a custom job done to integrate it...fine and cost up. However, I would not and advise Dave not to do it. It's more of a thing to be done to customize your amp and a headache for Dave and amplifier manufacturer(s). Leave amp manufacturers to just build the amps...only and stuff like that to "custom" jobs. It's like automobiles now-a-days. Fucking sick and tired of adding more and more shit and cost up and things to go wrong. Give me a fucking car, no "fly by wire", no air bag, no computers, just give me a fucking V8 and mechanical carburetor that will work every time and call it a day! Rant off!! :) lol
 
Somebody will eventually take on the project. People will always be trying or adding effects to there signal chain. But to walk in to a studio or fill in with a band, all you have to carry is amp and guitar is priceless and time saving. I think there is a bigger market for this then you know. The BE100 is the best sounding tube amp I have ever owned I don't even use my SLO or Bogner any more and to have a BE100 with this ability would be fantastic. Amps like Friedman Soldano Bogner are custom can hurt to try....My fly by wire stock Mustang (not stock any more) will blow away the old mechanical carburetor mustangs. Don't get me wrong I do love the old 68 Fastback (GO Steve McQueen) and the 69/70 Mach1 with the mechanical carburetor....lol
 
I don't know man. How lazy do you gotta be to not want to carry two pedals and a couple of patch cables.
 
Put an Keurig espresso maker in there and now your talkin !

Exactly and then Dave has to deal with the warranty issues and things. Put a rack in the loop or your pedals you lazy bastard. Dave can't cater to everyone. 80-90% who will put things in the loop like normal people is his core market...else as someone said, get a Peavey of all-in-one amp. Dave builds professional amps, not for kids and novices and in that as a boutique builder will probably not being doing that unless it's a 1-off custom job and charges you appropriately for it.
 
1st off you know how heavy a 2x12 combo is? You don't want to move it we did a few. Also integrating the effects is not something I would do at this time. Sorry.

As for 2x12 combo...I just built a custom for a guy in Detroit. It's what he wanted, always wanted. I was like are you sure that's what you want? We're 45-50YO! The thing weighs a TON!!!! Great amp, but good lord, it IS a boat anchor.
 
I actually think it's a decent idea. The reason it sounds cheap is because the amps that have come out with integrated effects have been cheap. The Marshall MGs, Bogner Alchemist (decent but nothing like their good stuff), and modeling amps

Friedman builds great amps as well as seemingly great effects. Not saying it's something I would run out and buy but I bet he could do it right.
 
It would be interesting to have say generic slots that feed in the fx loop circuit. And different cards for different fx that you could preload in, say, analog delay card, and then be able to have different cards for different fx that are interchangeable. The same way Bruce did the multiple preamp cards in the rack preamp stuff and synergy etc. Getting the i/o switches to be foot accessible might be an issue though for live work. Not sure why anyone would run their own fx chain or iso in a studio environment. And all studios should be required to have at least 3 kuerigs.
